Audio could be more artificial
I tried a few nature scenes, like mirror lake, and I am a little disappointed by the audio.
I see bees flying around, wind goes through trees, but all I hear: A highway in the background.
I believe there was a highway in the background and the sound is the true sound. but as the whole gimmick Atmoph is a fake window, it could be a ferry tale sound of bees and smooth wind, listen to a small fresh water lake shore, not the lorries passing by.
If I want the lorries and car noise waste sound, I can open the real office window.
Please get help from a sound architect, may be open a new shop with "in app sales" for wonderful sound, mixed to support the build in speakers perfectly.

Hi actxc and Kimi Takamura,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’ve filmed and edited the sounds very carefully for making views truly real. However, we know it really depends on how you like and for someone, it might be better off with those traffic sounds. (we’ve tried to make not too noisy, though.)
Hopefully, in the near future, you will be able to listen to your favorite music with Bluetooth or Spotify :)
Best,

I would have to agree. There is a difference between background noise and static. The mics are picking up EVERYTHING. So there is a lot of static that is in the front that should be background noise and it drowns out the other scenery. 3 examples are:
Longyearbyen 1: I would expect gentle wind rushes, but its literally all white noise and detracts from the experience of the scene.Garden at Issinan 1: The background noise could be cut in half to still give the feeling of being there, without being distracting from the scene.
Hot Spring at Araya Totoan 1: Audio is tinny. While it may be true to the scene, its not true to real life. There is way too much high end and not enough bass which you would expect from being in an enclosed room.
Snow at Kiyotaki River 1 is an example of well mixed audio. The static is in the background where it should be, there is high end from the birdsong, good mid-high from the stream, and good bass from the occasional breeze. There is background static, but it is there in the background where it should be.
I work as an audio engineer and one of the things we always need to consider is that real to camera is not always real to scene. Many sounds in real life, like the static mentioned above, our brains filter out while the mic picks them up and brings them to the foreground. If the background static was reduced (cut in half at least) on most of these videos and the bass increased slightly, they would be more realistic. As a person with autism that loves sounds, I have to mute all the videos because the audio is 70% static and its like nails on a chalkboard.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your comment. Now, Atmoph Window 2 has a feature of 'Soundscape' and it's available to enjoy views with sounds. The Soundscape has some layers of sound and can be adjusted by yourself. However, the views without Soundscape have real sounds recording through mic as you said. Some users may feel these sounds are kind of noise. We use real sound to make our views more real, but we also think the way users feel about the view will change depending on when, who, and under what circumstances users see it. This is an issue that we are continuing to consider. We really appreciate your valuable voice.
As to whether or not to add these features, it's difficult to answer it so far. We hope you understand it.
Best,
Atmoph
